Our 1 bedroom apartment was smack in the middle of it all in Asoke, across from Terminal 21 mall. Instant access to great, inexpensive food, public transportation, and friends near by. This was so convenient because we only cooked breakfast at home and ate out for lunch and dinner.
The baby and I explored Benjakitti Park which was just a 10 minute walk from our apartment and the Benchasiri Park which was 1 sky train stop away. We frequently went to the playground at Benchasiri because it had 2 playgrounds, a man made lake and there were more kids to play with. However, I loved spending time at Benjakitti Park because the park and the lake were very large and separated from traffic. During the time in the park, it felt like a relaxing oasis in the middle of the chaotic city. It had a large man made lake, surrounded by trees, flowers, walking and bicycle path, and a small playground. This lake actually had monitor lizards in it!
Between playgrounds, swimming, playing and naps we went out to eat and really got to experience what food should taste like. The food was so amazing I will go into details in a different post. I have to admit, it took me almost a week to get used to the city then I fell in love and can’t wait to go back!
